Yixiao Jiang (Ethan)
I am a 4th-year PhD student from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. My PhD advisor is Professor Roger Klein. I received my B.A. in Mathematics and Economics (double major) from RU in 2013.
My reseach interests lie in the area of econometrics (with a current focus on estimating and testing non/semi-parametric models) and its application in financial markets, industrial organization and game theory. My goal is to extend econometric analysis to structural models with strategic interactions, and examine how agents behave with complete and imcomplete information. As the prediction of game theoratical models is often sensitive to the pre-specified payoffs, I employ non/semi-parametric methods to avoid making strong parametric assumptions and let the data chooses the payoffs which best explain observed behavior.
